あくまで私の観測範囲内での話なのですが…
ギャルでtumblrを使っている方が増えはじめたような気がします。2011年春ころに人口増が起きた気がします。読者モデルなど当該分野の著名人がはじめた、などの事情があるのでしょうか（ご存知の方がいたら、ご教示下さい。）。
そのうち、雑誌「小悪魔ageha」がTumblr特集を組む、なんてことも、ありえるかもしれません。
tumblrの設計思想（ http://j.ktamura.com/archives/1489 などを参照）からすれば、アドオン等を駆使して秒速でリブログするギークよりも、「正統な」利用者なのかもしれません。

昨年はringtongらがファッション系で攻めていたので(それでニューヨークのファッション系に認知され達成されたのか年末にTumblr離れたけど)東京のギャル方面で鼻が利く人もそこらへんをチェックしていたのかな。
